Brian May sent his KZ Super, John Birch, Burns custom painted and Guyton scalloped guitars.
He also sent a Greg Fryer modified AC30 and two original Pete Cornish pedals.
We appreciate Brian May's kindness very much.
I hope you enjoy the pictures.
Warmest regards,
Mark.
Dear N,
Yes, it seems the pick-up surrounds were to cover the larger holes.
I think I prefer the guitar as it is now.
IOt is very interesting to see.
Yes, Brian's hair is very different!

Thanks, Mark. I saw this picture last year at Kaz's place. My guess is that Brian put those pick-up surroundings because the TriSonics were smaller than these home made ones.
...and Bri's hair-style;) Very interesting, indeed.
Dear friends,
Please see a picture of Brian May playing his Red Special with the original home made pick-ups (not Tri-Sonics!!). http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f97/pocket_change88/0519026a.jpg
You can also see that the tremolo arm and volume and tone knobs are different.
Very interesting picture. Can you see BHM on the headstock?
Warmest regards,
Mark.
